Epidemiological wastewater monitoring Vienna
Description
With the help of epidemiological wastewater monitoring, the distribution of selected viruses in the population can be traced and trends can be detected at an early stage. In the inlet of the ebswien wastewater treatment plant, the entire wastewater of the city of Vienna flows together.
The data source is the measured and tested measurement data from the epidemiological wastewater monitoring. The virus load (in gene copies per day) is measured from a 24-hour mixed sample from the inlet of the ebswien wastewater treatment plant. On days with so-called mixed water events in Vienna (strong rainfall, meltwater, etc.), the unsecured, measured value is replaced by a calculated value.
