Dutch control companies; outside and inside EU zone, industry
Description
This table contains figures on turnover, employment, personnel costs, investments and the number of foreign subsidiaries controlled by a Dutch institutional unit (Outward-FATS). The data can be broken down by industry according to the Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008) and the country where the foreign subsidiary is located.
The nationality of an enterprise is determined by assessing globally which institutional unit controls the enterprise group. For the data in this table, the Ultimate Controlling Institutional unit (UCI) of the enterprise group is located in the Netherlands.
The data are collected as part of the Foreign Affiliates Statistics (FATS) of the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat).
The data in this table are published by year, classification of economic activity according to the Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008) and the country where the foreign subsidiary is located.
Data available from: 2021.
Status of figures:
The figures for 2021 are definitive and for 2022 provisional.
Changes as of 29 April 2024:
The 2021 figures corrected erroneous UCI provisions as well as corrections that could be made by analysis of several years.
Provisional figures for 2022 have also been added.
When will there be new figures?
Additional information will become available in November (23 months after reporting year) to give the data a final status.
