Description
The information contained in this data set corresponds to the positioning of the profiles obtained with TOPAS PS018 parametric probe during the campaign during the campaign INTEMARES-COLCARTO_0221, in the waters of the Levantine-Balearic demarcation.
This is the representation of the spatial distribution of the transects where the ship sailed during data acquisition.
The area comprising the data provided is located in waters around the Columbretes Islands.
This information is composed of a set of data formed by linear elements, where each line represents the situation of the navigation carried out by the oceanographic vessel, during the acquisition of the data.
The preparation of this set of geographical information began in 2021, thanks to the oceanographic campaign INTEMARES-COLCARTO_0221.
The geographical information collected is stored in a spatial database.
These works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
