Housing stock; medium surface area; type of dwelling, year of construction, region
Description
This table contains data on the characteristics of the stock of dwellings on 1 January. The table shows the starting position on 1 January and the average area. These are further broken down by year of construction, housing type, parts of the country, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities.
The data comes from the Basic Register of Addresses and Buildings (BAG). The stock of dwellings includes all residential objects with a residential function and a status ‘in use (not measured)’, ‘in use’, ‘out of use’ or ‘renovation’ at the reference date.

Status of figures:
The figures up to 1 January 2023 are final.
Changes as of 16 April 2024:
Provisional figures for 2024 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
The new provisional figures are published approximately 3 months after the start of the reporting year. Final figures are issued approximately 9 months after the start of the reporting year.
