Description
This table contains data on the ownership of the stock of dwellings on 1 January, compiled from various sources. This table provides insight into the ownership of the housing stock by owner-occupied and rental properties. Rental dwellings are further subdivided into dwellings owned by housing corporations and dwellings owned by other landlords. In addition, this table provides insight into the status of habitation; subdivided by the number of inhabited and non-inhabited dwellings. The data are further broken down by districts, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities.

Status of figures:
The figures from 2012 to 2023 are final.
Changes as of 2 April 2024:
The 2019 figures have been corrected.
Changes as of 22 March 2024:
2020 figures have been corrected.
Amendments 2019 to 2022:
In 2023, it was found that the derivation of rental housing owned by housing corporations for the years 2019 to 2022 was not always correct, as a result of which the number of rental housing owned by housing corporations was underestimated in some municipalities in specific years and the number of rental housing owned by other landlords was overestimated. The figures from 2019 to 2022 have now been corrected.
When will there be new figures?
New figures for 2024 are expected in November 2024. If quality problems occur in the sources, improved figures are placed on an occasional basis.
