Description
Dedicated dikes
Dedicated dikes in Lower Saxony. A dike obtains the property of a main dike, flood pond or protective dyke by dedication, which the dyke authority pronounces by regulation. The provisions of the Lower Saxony Dike Act (NDG) apply to dedicated dykes. The dedication “2.Dekeline” is not included in the database.
Blocking plants
Barrier structures are structures with locking devices in tidal waters intended to serve the protection of an area from elevated tides, especially storm surges (§2(3) NDG). A building of that kind receives the property of a blocking plant by dedication, which the dyke authority declares by regulation.
