Building permits for living quarters; type, client, property, municipality
Description
In this table, data are published on the estimated construction costs and the number of new housing units to be built for which the building permit granted has been reported to Statistics Netherlands.
The results relate to building permits issued with a building sum of 50 thousand euros or more, excluding VAT.
The data are broken down by type of client, by type of living space (house, residential unit and recreational home), by type of property (rental and owner-occupied homes) and by municipalities.
Because this table contains only the submitted data of the municipalities, this table does not correspond to other published tables on building permits, it has therefore been chosen not to aggregate to above-municipal divisions such as province and district.
Data available as of January 2012.
Status of figures:
The figures for 2012 to the first quarter of 2023 are final.
Figures as of the second quarter of 2023 are provisional.
This table contains only the submitted data as received from the municipalities.
Municipalities with non-response are not estimated. The figures for the month in which the permit was granted reflect the statements made by municipalities in respect of previous periods. As a result, figures for the same month can vary over time. Twelve months after publication, the provisional figure shall be definitively established.
Changes as of 16 May 2024:
The figures for the first quarter of 2023 have been finalised. Figures for the first quarter of 2024 have been added.
Preliminary figures from Q2 2023 to Q4 2023 may differ slightly from the previous publication.
When will there be new figures?
The new figures are published approximately 2 months after the reporting period.
The figures for the same quarter of a year earlier will become definitive.
