Building permits for living quarters; Number and Index
Description
This table publishes data on the number of new housing units to be built for which a building permit has been granted. These data are further broken down by type of living space, dwelling, housing unit or recreation home. The table also contains the indices of the number of dwellings for which a building permit has been granted.
The results relate to building permits issued with a building sum of 50 thousand euros or more, excluding VAT.
Data available as of January 2012.
Status of figures:
The figures from January 2012 to April 2023 are final.
Figures as of May 2023 are provisional.
Municipalities with non-response are estimated. The figures for the month in which the permit was granted reflect the statements made by municipalities in respect of previous periods. As a result, figures for the same month can vary over time. Twelve months after publication, the provisional figure shall be definitively established.
Changes as of 20 June 2024:
The figures for the reporting month of April 2024 have been added and the figures for the reporting month of April 2023 have been finalised.
The provisional figures from May 2023 to March 2024 may have changed slightly compared to the previous publication.
When will there be new figures?
The new figures are published approximately 2 months after the reporting month.
The figures for the same reporting month of one year before become final.
