Accrued AOW pension rights; gender, age, marital status and origin
Description
The table provides insight into the average number of insured years and the average accrual rate for the General Old Age Act (AOW) of persons in and outside the Netherlands in the accrual phase for the AOW pension at the end of the reporting year. The total insured period of a person is determined by the period during which he or she was insured during the preceding fifty years at the age of AOW. Until 2013, the AOW pension age was 65 years old. After this, it is linked to life expectancy. See “Definitions” for a table with the AOW age per year.

Status of the figures:
The figures until 2021 are final. The 2022 figures are provisional.

None, this is a new table. This table is the successor to the table Building AOW rights; gender, age and marital status, 2015-2021. See paragraph 3.
When will there be new figures?
The preliminary figures for the year 2023 will be published in the fourth quarter of 2024.
