Persons with pronounced debt restructuring; year of judgment, personal characteristics
Description
This table contains figures on individuals, for which debt restructuring has been pronounced in the current year. This concerns the statutory debt rescheduling issued by the court on the basis of the Act on Debt Remediation of Natural Persons (Wsnp). The Wsnp offers natural persons, who are in a problematic debt situation, the opportunity to become debt-free.
The data may be broken down by gender, age, origin, socio-economic category and household composition.
CBS is moving on to a new classification of the population by origin. From now on, it is more decisive where someone was born, in addition to where one’s parents were born. The word ‘migration background’ is no longer used. The main division of Western/Non-Western is replaced by a classification based on continents and common immigration countries. This classification is gradually introduced in tables and publications with population by origin.
Data available from: 1999.
Status of the figures:
The figures are for the time being for all years. When new annual figures are published, the previous years may be adjusted.

None, this is a new table. This table is the successor to the table ‘Persons with pronounced debt restructuring; year of judgment, personal characteristics’. See paragraph 3.
When will there be new figures?
In the second quarter of 2024, provisional figures for 2023 are added.
