Pupils and students; type of education, residential area
Description
This table shows the number of pupils and students in primary education (po), secondary education (vo), secondary vocational education (mbo), secondary general adult education (vavo) and higher education (ho) by type of education, level of education and living region on 1 October of a relevant school/study year.
Data available from 2011/'12:
The data of ho are from 2015/'16 inclusive of the Theological Universities and the University of Humanistic Studies and from 2016/'17 inclusive of the Transnational University of Limburg.
Status of figures:
The figures for the school/study years up to and including 2022/'23 are definitive and those for the school/study year 2023/'24 are provisional.
Changes as of 26 April 2024:
The final figures for the school/study year 2022/'23 and the provisional figures for the school/study year 2023/'24 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
In the third quarter of 2025, the provisional figures for the school/study year 2023/'24 will be replaced by final figures and the provisional figures for the school/study year 2024/'25 will be added.
