Building permits; key figures for new homes; construction costs, content, region
Description
This table publishes data on the annual moving average of the construction costs, content and area of newly built dwellings for which a building permit has been granted.
The results relate to building permits granted for homes with a total construction cost of 50 thousand euros or more, excluding VAT for the past twelve months. Granted building permits in which a mix of dwellings with residential units, recreational homes and / or business premises occurs are not included in this statistic.
The data are broken down by type of property (rental and owner-occupied homes) and by parts of the country.
Data available as of January 2012.
Status of figures:
The rolling annual figures from January 2012 to March 2023 are final.
The rolling annual figures as of April 2023 are provisional.
Changes as of 16 May 2024:
The provisional moving annual figure of 2023 April - 2024 March has been added to the table.
The 2022 April - 2023 March rolling annual figure has been finalised.
The three preliminary moving annual figures, which lie between the new figure and the figure that has been made definitive, have been redefined and may differ from previous publications.
When will there be new figures?
Each quarter, the annual rolling figures are recalculated.
The new - provisional - moving annual figures are published approximately 2 months after the reporting period.
The moving annual figures of 4 quarters will become definitive sooner than later.
