Basic registration: Large-scale Topography (BGT) [DONL]

Description

The Basic Registration Large-Scale Topography (BGT) is a topographic object file that is used for the whole of the Netherlands is uniform in terms of content and quality. This means that the file is covered and meets described quality aspects for completeness, topicality and accuracy. The BGT is intended for use on a scale of 1:500 to 1:5,000. It goes on topographical objects such as buildings, roads, railways, watercourses, parks and forests. The content of the BGT is tailored to the joint information needs of the various users of the file. An important starting point is that there must be multiple use. This concerns both the source holders (municipalities, water boards, provinces, Ministry of EZ, Ministry of Defence, Rijkswaterstaat and Prorail), as to other Data Catalogue Basic Registration Large-scale Topography, Part I: mandatory part -8— users and basic registrations in the system. Users can after completion of the BGT request and download BGT information via the National Provisions. An important part of the BGT’s design is the data catalogue. When drafting these have been taken into account as much as possible of the current Directives for the European Directive.
