Soil sensitivity: Erosion by water

Description

As part of the evaluation process, the K-factor is used for the first estimation of the erodability depending on the soil type. The K-factor contains soil properties such as permeability, infiltration, grain size, humus content and aggregate stability. The estimation by means of the K-factor provides rough statements regarding the erodability of the soil. In carrying out the assessment, the soil type of the uppermost soil horizon shall be taken into account. The Eb_Was_stage describes the erosion of the soil by water. Floor areas with strong slope inclinations (=18 %) receive a step surcharge.
