Self-employed persons; income, wealth, region (classification 2023)
Description
This table contains data on the income and wealth of self-employed persons by region. A distinction is made between, on the one hand, the persons for whom the main income is generated from self-employed activities and, on the other hand, all persons with income from self-employment. The figures in this table are further broken down by type of self-employed and by economic activity. Various levels of regional divisions are available, from municipality to part of the country.
Reference date of target population, wealth, and municipal classification is 1 January of the year under review.
All figures in this table are at person level, including the abilities; (business) assets are determined per household, and are granted to all persons in the household as a measure of prosperity. Target population and wealth reference date is 1 January of the year under review.
The General Business Register (ABR) is used to determine the SBI of self-employed persons.
No capital figures for the self-employed are available for 2010.
For this year, the 2011 assets can be assumed as the reference date has shifted from 31 December to 1 January since 2011.

Status of the figures:
The figures for 2006 to 2021 are final.
The 2022 figures are provisional.

When will there be new figures?
New 2023 figures will be available in autumn 2024 and will appear in a new table.
