Description
This table contains data on the population of the Netherlands as at 1 January by nationality, sex and age.

Status of figures:
All figures shown in the table are final figures.
Changes as of 4 June 2024:
Final figures as of 1 January 2024 have been added.
Changes as of 9 October 2023:
None, this is a new table. This table is the successor of 'Population; sex, age and nationality on 1 January; 1995-2023'. See paragraph 3.
The following changes have been made to the discontinued table:
- The nationalities Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey are allocated to continental Asia (was Europe).
- The main classification Western/non-Western is replaced by a classification based on continents and common immigration countries.
- Small differences may occur with respect to the discontinued table. The differences were caused by a change in the production process.
When will there be new figures?
For the time being, only data from 2014 is available in the table. The periods 1995 to 2013 will be added to the table at a later date.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, the figures as of 1 January 2025 will be included in this publication.
