Deductible and own contribution of persons Zvw, Wmo and/or Wlz, in month
Description
This table shows the number of people who use insured care and/or support through a care law or a combination of care laws that are subject to a mandatory deductible or deductible. Of these persons, the average deductible and deductible in the month in which the reference date (November) falls is shown.
This concerns the number of people who make use of care and/or support in this month that is financed by the Long-term Care Act (Wlz) and/or the Social Support Act 2015 (Wmo 2015) and/or who have made use of the Health Insurance Act (Zvw) during the year for which the mandatory deductible and/or own contribution applies. Persons who have not paid a deductible and no deductible are not included in this table.
Own contributions relate to the compulsory own contributions for Wlz care and Wmo stay (according to the low own contribution (LEB) and high own contribution (HEB) system) and Wmo support at home (according to the MPB system (until 2019) or the subscription rate (from 2019)). For the Zvw, both the compulsory deductible and the compulsory contributions for the use of insured Zvw care are included.
Own payments for care not insured through the Zvw and Wlz (such as self-care) and general provisions in the Wmo (which are not covered by the MPB system or the subscription rate) are not taken into account. Also, the own contributions for Zvw aids, the voluntary deductible with the Zvw, insurance premiums (both Zvw, Wlz and supplementary insurance) and own payments in case of a lower reimbursement with Zvw care providers not contracted by health insurers are not included in the figures. For care via an uncontracted care provider, the part of the Zvw care that is reimbursed - and therefore also covered by the deductible or own contribution - is included.
The table contains only people who are registered in the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) on the reference date and have a valid household. Persons who receive care from a Wlz subsidy scheme are not included with regard to a possible own contribution for this care. The figures are broken down by the health care laws (Zvw, Wlz and Wmo) and the following personal characteristics: gender, age, household composition and household income.

The figures up to 2020 are final. Figures for 2021 are provisional.
Changes as of 3 May 2024:
Figures for 2015 and 2016 have been corrected in connection with a redelivery of the Zvw's own contribution figures for maternity care.
When will there be new figures?
When new annual figures are published, the figures for the previous year become definitive. The figures for reporting year t appear in the 4th quarter of year t+2.
