Employment participation; regional breakdown 2019
Description
This table contains annual figures on labour participation in the Netherlands for various regional breakdowns. The population aged 15 to 75 is divided into the employed, unemployed and non-occupied populations. The working population is further classified on the basis of employment and employment level. A breakdown by gender, age, migration background and educational level is available for the different classifications. The classification by municipalities is based on the municipalities of 1 January 2019.

Changes as of 14 August 2020
The figures on the level of education in this table have been corrected for the period 2013-2019. This is a correction in the distraction of the level of education of persons who indicate that they have obtained a diploma abroad with a level similar to the higher education level. This group was wrongly awarded the level associated with an MBO2 training.
Changes as of 13 February 2020
The figures on education level are still provisional because this table has not yet been corrected for persons who have indicated that they have obtained a diploma abroad with a level comparable to the higher education level.
In the period 2012 4th quarter — 2019 the second quarter of this group was wrongly awarded the level associated with an MBO2 training. By mid-2020, the figures will be corrected and finalised.
When are new figures coming?
Each year in February, a new table containing the most recent area divisions is compiled.
