Description
Share of certificate of completion in the housing stock of the last 5 years in Hamburg at the level of the statistical regions. The data is provided and aggregated from BACom. (as of September 2022). They are available at statistical area level and are updated annually. Calculation: Number of residential units (UU) in the stock with certificate of completion in relation to the total housing stock. Basic data source – Housing stock at statistical area level: Construction activity statistics, conversion of the results of the building and housing update and the building permit statistics to statistical areas by the Statistical Office North
The certificate of confinement certifies the confinement of apartments and other rooms (§3 (3) WEG). These certificates are a prerequisite for the conversion of rental apartments into condominiums in multi-family houses. The number of closure certificates in the inventory may indicate possible upcoming conversions, a comparatively higher proportion of closure certificates in the inventory therefore indicates a (possibly future) broader conversion activity in the district. In principle, only one certificate of completion can be issued for each building on a plot of land. Only certificates of completion for existing apartments are counted in the data set, not for new buildings.
