Construction; value added at basic prices, 2015=100, 2005-2023
Description
This table has been discontinued due to a shift of the base year from the year 2015 to 2021.
This table presents figures on the volume evolution of value added in basic construction prices. According to the Standard Business Classification of Statistics Netherlands (SBI 2008), the construction sector is SBI 41-43. The development is presented as a percentage change compared to the same period in the previous year and by means of indices based on 2015.
Data available from January 2005 to December 2023.
Status of figures
The figures are made consistent with the value added figures of the quarterly accounts as soon as they become available. At the time of publication of the last month of a quarter, regular quarterly national accounts estimates are not yet available. As a result, the value added figures of the construction sector in this table may differ from the value added figures of national accounts. The series is final until 2020 and provisional from 2021. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.
For the quarterly figures, this relates to the results of both the first ('flash') estimate of the quarterly accounts, 6 weeks after the end of a reporting quarter and the second ('regular') estimate, which is published approximately 3 months after the end of a reporting quarter. The adjustments are made when a new monthly figure is added to the series.
Changes per 01-05-2024
The figures from December 2023 have been added and the figures from October 2023 to November 2023 may have been adjusted and the table has been discontinued.
Changes as of 18/07/2023
The annual changes to national accounts have been implemented and the figures may have been revised from January 2020 to April 2023. The figures for May 2023 have also been added. From now on, the figures for 2020 have the status 'definitive'.
Changes as of 16-03-2021
The figures for January 2021 have been added and the figures for October to December 2020 have been adjusted. The working day and seasonally adjusted figures are now supplied to Eurostat. Section 3 contains a link to the relevant table.
The Central Bureau of Statistics carried out a revision of the national accounts in June 2018. New statistical sources and estimation methods are used. This table shows the figures after revision. For additional information see section 3.
