WMS Service corresponding to the Map of Public Green Areas of the provincial capitals of Andalusia and municipalities larger than 100,000 inhabitants. The following municipalities have been considered: Algeciras, Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Dos Hermanas, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Jerez de la Frontera, Marbella, Málaga and Seville. The works of elaboration have consisted of the direct photointerpretation on the ortho PNOA of the years 2004 and 2005, using the cadastral cartography and the corporate street map of the Junta de Andalucía as main sources of reference. The digitalization of the polygons has followed the geometry of the corporate streetcar of 2006. Subsequently and using the auxiliary information, those polygons that correspond to private green areas have been eliminated. By green area, the area defined in the technical report - Towards a local sustainability profile - has been considered. Common European Indicators - from the Directorate-General for the Environment (European Commission), in this document the following is understood as a green area: (a)parks, gardens or open and public spaces for the exclusive use of pedestrians and cyclists, except islets or green divisions of traffic and cemeteries (unless their recreational function or their natural, historical or cultural importance is recognised by the local administration). B) outdoor sports facilities, accessible to the public and free of charge. C) private areas (agricultural areas, private parks), accessible to the public at no cost.
