Persons with assistance; (re)inflows and outflows 2008-2023
Description
This table shows the dynamics of the assistance. The table shows the number of inflows of persons up to the AOW pensionable age in the reporting period, including the number of persons who were reintroduced into social assistance within one year (WWB, Participatiewet), and the number of outflows of persons with social assistance benefits. The numbers are broken down by the personal characteristics of gender, age and migration background.
Data available from: Q1 2008 to Q4 2023.
CBS is moving to a new classification of the population by origin. From now on, it is more decisive where someone was born, in addition to where someone's parents were born. The word "migration background" is no longer used. The main classification Western/non-Western is replaced by a classification based on continents and common immigration countries. This classification is gradually introduced in tables and publications with population by origin. For this StatLine table, this will be done in the course of 2024. However, as of the reporting period 2023Q3, the figures relating to migration background in this table will no longer be updated.
