Persons with incapacity benefit; age, migration background
Description
This table provides insight into the number of people receiving disability benefit (AO).
The data are broken down by the following personal characteristics:
- sex;
- age;
- migration background.
The figures refer to the last day of the reporting month.
Data available from: 2013.
Status of figures
CBS is moving to a new classification of the population by origin. From now on, it is more decisive where someone was born, in addition to where someone's parents were born. The word "migration background" is no longer used. The main classification Western/non-Western is replaced by a classification based on continents and common immigration countries. This classification is gradually introduced in tables and publications with population by origin.
This StatLine table will be replaced in the course of 2024. As of reporting month January 2024, the figures relating to migration background in this table will no longer be supplemented or updated.
In October 2021, there was an increase in the number of people receiving WGA benefits. The reason for this is a quality improvement of the process so that a group of self-risk carriers that were previously missing are now included. This is not an increase in the regular number of WGA benefits, but an increase in the number of "persons with a WGA benefit".
Persons on WGA benefit:
Person with a current WGA benefit where an amount is actually paid.
All figures as of January 2013 are final, except for the last three months. They're provisional.

- the provisional figures for April 2024.
When will there be new figures?
New figures are expected in July 2024.
