Limnian water type regions
Description
Sweden has been divided into four different regions to facilitate the work on the typing of lakes and watercourses. The four regions are divided by a border between northern and southern Sweden, 800 meters above sea level in northern Sweden, 200 meters above sea level in northern Sweden and the region in between. The map layer shall be a help for the typing of reporting and water bodies according to the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management’s regulations (HVMFS 2017:20) on mapping and analysis of surface water in accordance with the Ordinance (2004:660) on the management of the quality of the aquatic environment.
