Cameras at intersections

Description

At all intersections with traffic lights, the municipality places one or two cameras to monitor the flow of traffic. Once a year traffic research is done to measure the queues and to adjust the traffic lights properly. The cameras are also used to handle complaints about traffic lights. The camera images are not recorded: they are only occasionally remotely watched live by five authorized employees of the municipality. It is impossible to look inside homes around the intersection, because windows are automatically ‘blurred' by software using privacy masking.
