Description
Biogeographic regions are a dataset used as official delimitations for the Emerald Network under the Berne Convention (Convention for the Protection of Europe’s Species and Habitats) and the Habitat Directive of the European Union (92/43/EEC). The dataset is basically Pan-European and is managed by the European Environment Agency (EEA). Through the Norwegian pilot project for Emerald Network, Norway’s share of the Biogeographic Regions was revised.
