Description

This table contains data on the physical working conditions of the Dutch worker aged 15 to 75, by occupational level and occupation. The table presents figures on force setting, noise and vibration, hazardous work and hazardous substances, working posture and VDU work. As of the reporting year 2022, the way in which data for the NEA were collected and processed differs in some respects from previous reporting years. As a result, the figures from 2022 may not be comparable in all cases with the figures up to 2021. More information is available in the NEA 2022 study description (see paragraph 4). All figures are based on at least 100 observations. Data available from: 2014. Status of figures: Figures in this table are final. Changes as of 17 April 2024: The annual figures for 2023 have been added. Changes as of 18 April 2023: The annual figures for 2022 have been added. In 2022, the question of working with hazardous substances was changed. These figures can be found in the new topic folder ‘Hazardous substances (from 2022)’. As a result of these changes, the figures on this subject from 2022 onwards are not comparable with the figures from previous years (2014-2021). Figures on the old topic ‘Dangerous substances (until 2022)’ will no longer be supplemented as of 2022. Finally, confidence intervals have been added to the table and the minimum number of observations for publication has been changed from 200 to 100. Changes as of 31 July 2020 A change has been made to the Occupational Classification ROA-CBS 2014 (BRC2014). In the new version of the BRC2014, the professional group ‘0551 Managers z.n.d.’ is no longer classified by professional level ‘unknown’, but by professional level 4. As a result, the results of professional level ‘unknown’ and professional level 4 have been changed for the years 2014 to 2018. Changes as of 29 August 2019 The figures belonging to the category 'occupational level unknown' were incorrect for 2014. For 2015 to 2017, these were incorrectly described as unknown, insufficiently reliable or secret. This has been corrected. In 2018, the question of hazardous work changed. For any kind of hazardous work, the frequency is asked. From this it is inferred whether workers are exposed to at least one form of hazardous work. These figures can be found in the new topic folder ‘Dangerous work (as of 2018)’. As a result of these changes, the figures on this subject from 2018 onwards are not comparable with the figures from previous years (2014-2017). Figures on the old topic ‘Dangerous work (until 2018)’ will not be completed from 2018 onwards. Changes as of 11 April 2019 The variable hazardous work was measured differently in 2018. When will there be new figures? Figures for the previous year will be published in May.
