Heritage Conservation Responsibilities

Description

The responsibility for preservation of monuments in the city of Zurich is divided between the Office for Urban Planning Zurich and the Canton of Zurich. This dataset shows the areas of competence in the city of Zurich, which mainly follow the statistical quarters, with the exception of the cantonal objects. The dataset contains information on the responsible contact persons of the construction consultancy as well as the inventory of the preservation of monuments of the Office for Urban Planning (name, telephone number, e-mail, attendance hours) as well as information on the Department of Monuments of the Canton of Zurich. **Purpose**: The dataset forms the basis for a search function on the interside of the Office for Urban Planning. It makes it possible to determine the responsibility (city or canton) by entering the address and to find the corresponding contact person directly in the case of the city of Zurich. The search function is a working tool for the public, for the preservation of monuments of the Office for Urban Planning, as well as for the Department of Monuments of the Canton of Zurich.
