Regional administrative divisions (vector)
Description
Administrative regional divisions (vector) are data describing Finnish municipalities, counties, regional state administrative agencies and the national border.
The administrative regional divisions (vector) products contain municipal numbers, the names of municipalities in Finnish and Swedish, the boundaries of municipalities and regions. In addition, the corresponding data on the counties, regional state administrative agencies and the national government, as well as the breakdown of the area of the municipality into the land and water area, are included. The area of the municipality is not in XML/GML or geopackage format.
Municipal data are produced on scales 1:10 000, 1:100 000, 1:250 000, 1:1 000 000 and 1:4 500 000. The data in the data of scale 1:10 000 have been produced from the land register. The boundaries of municipalities on other scales have been generalised to suit each scale.
The product is open material.
