Compensation and work volume of employees; quarters, No, 1995-Q1 2024
Description
This table contains data on compensation of employees, labour costs and labour volume of employees employed by companies and institutions established in the Netherlands. Compensation of employees is broken down by wages and social security contributions payable by employers. Wage costs are the total of wages, employers' social security contributions and final taxes less wage cost subsidies. The work volume of employees is given in average number of jobs (by gender), average number of working years, and hours worked per quarter and year. In addition to the original figures, the table includes seasonally adjusted figures on compensation of employees and wages. In addition, compensation of employees, wages and labour costs are given in relation to the average number of years of work and the hours worked.
Data available from the first quarter of 1995 to the first quarter of 2024.
Status of figures:
Data from 1995 to 2020 are final. Data from 2021 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.

The Central Bureau of Statistics recently revised the national accounts. New sources, methods and concepts are introduced into the national accounts, so that the picture of the Dutch economy is optimally aligned with all underlying statistics, sources and international guidelines for compiling the national accounts.
