Drinking water area files
Description
The drinking water map Zuid-Holland provides information about the drinking water supply in the province of Zuid-Holland. This concerns the locations of the groundwater protection areas and associated area files, the supply areas of the South Holland drinking water companies and main elements of the production sites/purification steps. Furthermore, a part of the pipeline infrastructure is shown that is important to include in area developments at an early stage. RIVM defines an area file as follows: RIVM, 2010a: “In an area file, the parties involved collect information that is important for the water quality at the site of drinking water extraction for the public drinking water supply.
