Tree rows topographic map_1873 (1860-1873)
Description
Displays the location of rows of trees, as shown on the topographic map of 1873 (drafted between 1860-1873). The Krijgsdepot (predecessor of the current NGI) usually presented rows of trees as a linear pattern of thicker dots, along roads, parcel separations or grafts, for example. With the help of AI and GIS, they have been processed into lines. Officially, rows of trees are not mentioned in the legend, but on a map they can be recognized as drifting, or loose in an open landscape. They also appear on puffiness, visually depicted as a black-toothed double line with black dots in between.
