Section 29 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG) and
Section 22 Lower Saxony Implementing Act to the Federal Nature Conservation Act (NAGBNatSchG)
Protection intensity: less high.
Protected landscape elements are legally binding parts of nature and landscape whose special protection is required:
1. for the maintenance, development or restoration of the performance and functionality of the natural balance,
2. to revive, structure or maintain the local or landscape image,
3. to ward off harmful effects or
4. because of their importance as habitats of certain species of wild fauna and flora.
