Guest birds - valuable areas 2018
Description
The digital overview map provides an overview of avifaunistically valuable areas for guest birds in Lower Saxony. Avifauna is the totality of all bird species found in a region. The avifaunistic data available to the Nature Conservation Authority are assessed on a site-by-site basis. This assessment is carried out separately for breeding and guest birds according to standardised assessment procedures (assessment levels from "local" to "international significance", cf. Informationsdienst Naturschutz Niedersachsen 2/2013). Based on the results of the water and wading bird censuses from the period 2008-2018. All available data from 2008-2018 were evaluated. For the evaluation of an area, data from a period of 5 years (depending on the data situation and processing status) were used for the evaluation. The regular collection and evaluation of data on guest birds takes place exclusively on the areas shown.
