Handrails

Description

Handrails are safety and protective structures designed to prevent a vehicle from derailing the roadway, etc. The Road Wizard manages the structural and functional characteristics of state-owned railings, as well as the related condition, procedure and administrative data. The Master system for bridge railings is the Skill Structure Register. The railing types maintained in the Skill Structure Registrar include (the condition and damage related to these and the action data are also managed in the Skill Structure Register): Steel railing (kt13) and Concrete railing (kt14). The information is constantly updated in Tiewizard. Information is generated on road maintenance contracts, investment projects and other separate inventories commissioned mainly by the ELY Centres. The target category is versioning. The information covers all handrails owned or maintained by the state, regardless of the type of fairway on which the handrail is located.
