High bog boundaries Moor protection programme Part I
Description
Geologically defined bog boundaries (boundary of peat deposits with a thickness of at least 30 cm) of the bogs of the bog protection programme. In Part I of the Moor Conservation Programme, a total of 88 raised bogs of the lowlands were recorded in 1981, which are important as peat deposits and have a high importance for nature conservation. Industrial peat extraction is or was mainly carried out in these peat bogs.
