The residual thickness of the Middle Jura (Dogger) in the duck beak
Description
The maximum thickness of the preserved dogger (base Middle Jura to Base Upper Jura) is about 1 000 m and is reached in the southwest, near the main disturbance of the central moat, in a sink at the salt diapire Clara.Another local maximum is measured within the John Basin with widths up to 500 m. Changes in thickness presented may also be due to a prominent discordance on the top of the unit.
