Vegetation Index (NDVI) of Andalusia. Maximum Ten-Year Value Compound, 2000 (NOAA AVHRR)
Description
NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) satellite images captured by the AVHRR (Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer) sensor that have been calculated the 10-year Maximum Value Compound (CMV) of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). These images are formed by selecting the best observations for each pixel in a period of 10 days, so that images are generated in which the overall quality is increased, these images are based on the contrast between the red and near infrared bands of the spectrum, which highlights the vegetation coverage and its vigor over large areas. It consists of 36 images from the year 2000 with a spectral resolution of 1 band and a spatial resolution of 1,100 m.
