Digital Orthophotos Eider (DOP020) WSA Tönning 2017/2018
Description
Digital orthophotos (DOP) are high-resolution, distortion-free images of the Earth's surface. Digital orthophotos are true to scale and can thus be directly compared with maps of the same scale or digitally combined with specialist data, for example road planning. The DOP data is available in ECW and GeoTIFF data formats. They have a standard tile size of 1 km x 1 km. The spatial resolution is 0.2 m. The data volume of the DOP (TIFF uncompressed) is about 100 MB per raster file. The receiving area is divided into the three sub-areas of external, tidal and inland eider from the North Sea via the Eider barrier to Rendsburg. This completely covers the federal waterways Eider and Sorge as well as the Gieselau Canal - the connecting piece from the Eider to the Kiel Canal. The orthophotos are also available as 4-channel images (R, G, B, IR) from the responsible body. Low-water flight of the Outer Eider took place on 14.08.2017 and the subsequent flight of the Tideeider and Inland Eider from 02.-03.08.2018.
