Description

The ATOM Feed Download Service for Open Volunteer Offices of the Zentrum für Gute Taten Wuppertal provides a dataset for download, which includes the (as of 01/2022) 594 point-modeled offers for volunteering in the city area of Wuppertal from the database of the Wuppertal Volunteer Agency “Zentrum für Gute Taten e.V.” (ZfgT). The data set contains exactly the information that the ZfgT has published since 04/2018 in the Wuppertal Volunteer Card (https://wunda-geoportal.cismet.de/#/ehrenamt). In order to avoid disappointment on both sides, the ZfgT intends to communicate between the expectations of those interested in volunteering and the requirements that exist on the respective volunteer posts. Therefore, the data set does not contain contact information about the sponsoring organisations behind the volunteer posts offered. Data source is a database hosted by Freinet-Online, which is maintained by the ZfgT with the specialist application of the same name. The ZfgT database contains some volunteer posts without coordinates or with coordinates outside Wuppertal. These offers are not considered for the Open Data publication. A quality assurance process to clarify the semantics of these cases and how to deal with them is under construction. The open data record available in Shape, KML and GeoJSON format under an Open Data License (CC BY 4.0) is updated every day automatically due to the ongoing continuation of the source database by the ZfgT. The download service is also updated daily by comparing it with its metadata and the metadata for the dataset of the Wuppertal Volunteer Offices in the GEOkatalog.NRW.
