INSPIRE-WCS Soil / Soil erosion hazard BB

Description

The interoperable INSPIRE-WCS is a download service that extracts data in the annex schema ground (derived from the original dataset: Soil erosion hazard Brandenburg) and gives an overview of the spatial distribution of the potential soil erosion hazard as well as the soil erosion by wind and water on the agricultural land of Brandenburg. The WCS includes the five coverages. In the ‘Wind erosion risk levels’ coverage, the agricultural areas are classified in a spatial resolution of 2x2 metres according to their potential risk of wind erosion in accordance with the calculation rule DIN19706 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/1934215) and Funk et al. 2023 (https://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.aeolia.2023.100878). The coverage ‘soil erosion (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxS)’ shows the potential soil erosion by water derived from the erosion factors R, K and S according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) in a spatial resolution of 5x5 metres. The coverage ‘soil erosion (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxSxL)’ shows the potential soil erosion by water derived from the erosion factors R, K, S and L according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) in a spatial resolution of 5x5 metres. In the layers ‘risk levels of water erosion (RxKxS)’ and ‘risk levels of water erosion (RxKxSxL)’ is one Classification of the potential water erosion hazard of agricultural land according to DIN19708 in a spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. The potential risk of erosion corresponds to the risk to the land due to natural conditions, i.e. without taking into account agricultural management measures such as tillage, land cover and crop rotation. According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the ground map are INSPIRE-compliant. The WCS includes the following coverages: SO.SoilLossWaterErosion (RxKxS), SO.RiskLevelsWaterErosion (RxKxS), SO.SoilLossWaterErosion (RxKxSxL), SO.RiskLevelsWaterErosion (RxKxSxL), SO.RiskLevelsWindErosion --- The compliant INSPIRE-WCS is a download service that delivers data in the annex schema Soil (derived from the original data set: Geomorphographic assessments Brandenburg). It provides an overview of the spatial distribution of the potential soil erosion risk as well as soil loss caused by wind and water on agricultural land in Brandenburg. The service contains five layers. In the coverage ‘Risk levels wind erosion’ the agricultural areas are classified in a spatial resolution of 2x2 meters according to their potential wind erosion risk based on the methods DIN19706 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/1934215) and Funk et al. 2023 (https://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.aeolia.2023.100878). In the coverage ‘Soil loss (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxS)’ the potential soil loss caused by water derived from the erosion factors R, K and S according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) is presented in a spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. In the coverage ‘Soil loss (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxSxL)’ the potential soil loss caused by water derived from the erosion factors R, K, S and L according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) is presented in a spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. The potential soil erosion risk reflects the erosion of bare soil under natural environmetal conditions, i.e. without taking into account cultivation methods such as tillage, soil cover and crop rotation. The content of the soil map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0). The WCS includes the following coverages: SO.SoilLossWaterErosion (RxKxS), SO.RiskLevelsWaterErosion (RxKxS), SO.SoilLossWaterErosion (RxKxSxL), SO.RiskLevelsWaterErosion (RxKxSxL), SO.RiskLevelsWindErosion
