Description
In the Free State of Saxony, drinking water protection areas are designated for groundwater collection, including for bank filtrate and infiltrate extraction, as well as for surface water extraction, mainly from drinking water dams. As at 31.12.2023, 360 drinking water protection areas for groundwater collection have been established in the Free State of Saxony.
