Description
The GIS layer contains the historically permanent grasslands (HPG) in the Polders agricultural region, including their protection status, as approved by the VR on 27/11/2015. Part of this HPG is protected under nature legislation (Articles 7 and 8 of the BVR of 23/07/1998). The other HPGs are protected under agricultural legislation. The HPGs that are protected under nature legislation are also protected under agricultural legislation. The status field indicates the protection status of the HPG. The HPG covered by nature legislation are either prohibited to amend (‘prohibition’) or subject to authorisation (‘permit’). The HPGs not covered by nature legislation were used as a basis for identifying the ecologically sensitive permanent grassland (EKBG) under the agricultural parcel registration. These HPGs are therefore protected under agricultural legislation. The HPG covered by nature legislation were also used as a basis for designating EKBG. The following codes appear in the status field: - ‘prohibition + EKBG’: HPG prohibited to amend under nature legislation and used as a basis for designation EKBG - ‘permit + EKBG’: HPG licence requirement for amendment under nature legislation and used as a basis for designation EKBG - ‘EKBG’: HPG not protected under nature legislation, used as a basis for designating EKBG
