Perimeter of the countries
Description
A country is a project territory characterised by "geographical, economic, cultural or social cohesion; a place of collective action which brings together municipalities, groupings of municipalities, socio-professional organisations, companies, associations... around a joint development project; a privileged level of partnership and contractualisation that facilitates the coordination of community, state and European initiatives for local development.”
It can be the subject of a contract, operational translation of the approved territory project through the country charter. This country contract sets out guidelines in particular on sustainable spatial planning, the organisation of public services and the public, and support for economic activity, training, integration and social cohesion.
Please note: The Law on the Reform of Local and Regional Authorities of 16 December 2010 abolishes the legislative status of the countries.
