Description

The data set contains an overview of all so-called bicycle sheds in Hamburg. The dataset is based on address data provided by the respective districts, which was subsequently geocoded. Therefore, there may be deviations to the actual location. The location is also described in the attributes. More than 400 bicycle sheds enable the secure parking of private bicycles in public spaces in districts with block edge development, in which there is no possibility of bicycle parking on the grounds or in the houses. The bicycle sheds are purchased and financed privately and are approved by the responsible district office by special use permit. 12 users share one house each, with one main contact person (“administrator”) for each house. Whether a place in a house is free, interested parties learn from the administrator; For this purpose, it is necessary to pass on the contact details of the interested parties to the relevant district office.
