REDIAM. WMS Analysis of the Guadiamar River after the Aznalcóllar accident (sludge spillage, heavy metals and water quality). Water Analysis

Description

WMS service corresponding to the following 3 layers: 1 - Mapping of the sludge spill into the Guadiamar River after the Aznalcóllar accident in 1998. A SPOT orthoimage taken in April 1998 was used as a reference base and photointerpretation. It contains information on the level of affectation of acidic water discharge and sludge discharge, as well as its average thickness. 2 - Sampling points (23) taken in the Agrio and Guadiamar river basins. The parameters used for the analysis are varied: concentration of Cu, Zn, As, Cd, Sb and Tl in filtered, unfiltered water, sediments, plankton, perifiton and macroinvertebrates; Ta, pH, conductivity and alkalinity of water. The assessment of the effects of the spill covers the period 1998-2000. Scale 1:50,000. 3 - Study of heavy metals from the Guadalquivir estuary, taking 14 sampling points. Information prepared by the Ministry of the Environment. Node of the Andalusian Environmental Information Network. Regional Government of Andalusia. Integrated in the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Cartographic System of Andalusia.
