Mapping of monuments in Hamburg

Description

In the future, this data set will be kept under the name of Monument Mapping Building Monuments Hamburg. The monument mapping is part of the monument information system Hamburg. The mapped objects are connected to the factual data via the object number, so that selected information can be retrieved via the map. Current monuments are recorded. The following categories (levels, layers) are included in the monument mapping: - Monument objects (symbolic): e.g. statues, fountains, monuments without clear extension - Boundary stones: historical landmarks and boundary markings - Architectural monuments: e.g. buildings, bridges, structures - Architectural monuments underground: e.g. tunnel - Waters: e.g. harbour basins, canals, locks, ponds in parks and gardens - Garden monuments: e.g. public parks and gardens, historic cemeteries - Outdoor facilities: e.g. pavements, paths and square designs - Ensembles: Consisting of at least two objects Movable cultural monuments (e.g. collections, ships) are not mapped. Selected tombs of Hamburg are also part of this monument mapping. This component clarifies the spatial representation of cemeteries protected as monuments from the general monument mapping by identifying the individual protected burial sites within the overall protected cemeteries. To date, the graves at the following cemeteries have been recorded in individual layers: Jüdischer Friedhof Königstraße in Altona More cemeteries will follow.
