This map of macrobenthic stands in the Eastern Channel is reproduced from the map, prepared by Louis Cabioch, Franck Gentil, René Glaçon and Christian Rétière of the Oceanological Observatory of Roscoff, communicated at the UOF Colloquium on 26 and 27 January 1978 in Brest. The original map was never published. It’s a direct communication from the authors.
For this study, sampling was carried out between 1971 and 1975.
This map was digitised in 2006 as part of the REBENT Marine Benthic Flora and Fauna Monitoring Network.
Harmonisation with the EUNIS typology was carried out in 2007, as part of the REBENT and Interreg-MESH projects.
