Description
France has 12 basin districts or basin committees (7 in metropolis and 5 overseas).
The administrative territory of each basin is based on communal cutting, by ministerial decree.
The reference for basin administrative districts is derived from the aggregation (by Sandre) of the geometries of municipalities belonging to the same constituency. The geometries of the municipalities are derived from the ADMIN EXPRESS COG database 2023 edition of the IGN.
