Areas covered by nature conservation agreements (Naturvårdsverket, County Administrative Board)
Description
Nature conservation agreements signed between property owners and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency or the county administrative board as a contracting party for the state. Nature conservation is a civil law agreement. The property owner and the state or a municipality agree on a certain financial compensation for the property owner for abandoning, for example, forestry. Nature conservation agreements can be concluded both for areas that depend on management to preserve nature values and for those areas where nature values benefit best from free development.
